Diocesan LOUDfence Event: 10th to 12th August 2025
Between Sunday 10th August and Tuesday 12th August 2025, the Diocese of Paisley hosted a LOUDfence event to demonstrate our collective support & solidarity with those affected by all forms of abuse, both locally and throughout the world.
LOUDfence is an event that shows visible solidarity with those affected by all forms of abuse.
It empowers and invites our church community to express their support for survivors and accompany them in their journey towards recovery.
It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to learn, improve and help better protect our church communities.
Please join us in showing our continued solidarity with all those affected by abuse.
Following a period of public display in the Diocesan Offices, Bishop John formally closed our LOUDFence event this month by blessing and memorialising the messages from the fences and placing them at the feet of the icon of ‘Our Lady of Paisley’.
We bestow these messages into the beloved care and protection of Our Lady as an everlasting symbol of care & compassion for all who have been affected by any form of abuse.
As a church community we will continue to ‘Stand by You’ in solidarity and support.
