IRMAS, translated as “sister” in Portuguese, is a feature-length documentary that tells the story of the Sisters and their work reaching children in some of the poorest parts of the world. Filmed in Tanzania, Brazil, and the Philippines, IRMAS follows the Sisters of Mary as they reach out to children around the world who live in the most desperate poverty, unable to afford or access education.
The Sisters offer a free place in school to these children where they can receive a quality education, care, and hope for a better future. The Sisters’ faith and belief in their mission to help the poorest of the poor is their driving force. They are a shining example of faith in action."
